Who I Am
    Who I Am

I was born in Málaga to a Swedish father and an English mother. At the age of 3, I moved with my family to Mecina Fondales in the heart of the Alpujarra region of Granada. I grew up in a very creative environment since both my father and mother were involved in various artistic activities. My first somewhat serious contact with clay and pottery was at a ceramics course I attended with my father when I was 12 years old. My father was looking for a new creative path, and I always liked doing things with my hands. He continued to develop this work by setting up his workshop and carrying on the activity until very recently.

I initially decided to study Fine Arts, which gave me a very broad vision and a solid foundation in various artistic techniques. Later, I started working with my father in his pottery workshop. After a few years of learning and working with him, I decided to undertake the Vocational Training in Artistic Ceramics at the School of Arts in Granada.

After a break for two maternities and a search for identity, I have returned to my roots and to ceramics. In 2021, I resumed ceramic activity and took over my father's workshop. I am very proud to say that I am the second generation of a craft workshop in the heart of the Alpujarra. To be able to develop an activity that is being lost and to keep alive a tradition and a heritage in this era of the rise of Artificial Intelligence. For me, the development of a creative activity made with hands and heart makes more sense now than ever.
